  • 50th birthday treat

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, eat and drink! We had lunch, evening meal and breakfast and all were delicious with lots of choice and good sized portion. Friendly yet professional staff. Superior suite very comfortable and classy. Great views. Thanks to everyone at the fleece inn. The whole visit was also great value for money.

  • Great food and beer at a fair price...

This pub is in Main Street Howarth and thousands of tourists must pass it as they walk up the steep cobbled street to the Bronte Parsonage. We thought the prices very reasonable for a tourist hotspot. Excellent Timothy Taylor beer and a very good meal in this historic inn.

  • One word, Yummy!

First visit here to the fleece inn. And they say first impressions last. And they certainty made sure it was a positive experience.
The staff here love their jobs. That is clear as they just want you to enjoy your time here.
    Lovely old world charm.
But where this place is amazing is the food.
To hear the chefs have a competition on who makes the best onion rings says it all.
The batter is so light a butterfly...

  • Lovely Location...

Visited with family whilst staying in the area for drinks and food. Dog friendly pub serving good food and drinks in a lovely village by friendly and helpful staff.

The food is freshly cooked with a good menu with lots of vegetarian offerings that meat lovers will like too.

  • One of the very best...

One of the very best stays we have had over 10+ years of walking holidays across the UK… group of 4… Beautifully fitted bedrooms with comfortable bed and lovey fresh linen. Staff were all very welcoming with good, friendly service. Food was excellent too – evening meals and breakfast. Ranked a clear ‘Top Slot’ for the walk in our ‘little purple book’ ranking system!

  • Good stop off up the hill...

Great pub. About half way up the hill towards the Bronze museum. Very busy with locals and visitors. Good selection of ales and beers. We didn’t eat but the food looked incredible. Definitely worth a visit

  • A warm welcome, delicious food...

Came on a bank holiday Monday. Even though they were very busy the staff were lovely and kept us well informed as to wait times. Sandwich was delicious…home made chips and home made bread and butter pudding. Overheard a customer asking about allergies. Was really impressed by the staff s response. She was very knowledgeable about the menu but also said she would double check and made sure the customer was well cared for.

  • Great food on a busy night...

We managed to get a table on a very busy night (the Tour de Yorkshire came through in the afternoon). Service was wonderful, food was great, and the beer was cold. Perfect way to end the day.

  • Great food & delightful service

Eating out with a young family can sometimes be somewhat stressful so finding a family friendly pub when you’re away is always a bonus! The staff at The Fleece are fantastic, friendly and efficient and took time to make sure we were all happy! The fish and chips were fantastic and quite possibly the best tartare sauce I’ve ever had! We will definitely return.

  • Lovely!

Lovely friendly little pub with a fantastic atmosphere! Only had a quick drink but everyone was friendly, bar staff very helpful when asked questions about the area. It even allows dogs in, it is just lovely to see such a friendly pub.

  • A wonderful afternoon feast.

We visited here the last weekend in February, the weekend my boyfriend proposed to me! On the Saturday night, we went there for a drink. We enjoyed our drinks on a lovely, comfy sofa right next to a cozy log fire. Then on the Sunday, after being so impressed with the service we received the night before, we went back for a pub lunch. The food was absolutely divine, my fiancé loved his curry and my steak and chips...

  • Lovely staff and amazing food!

Went to the Fleece at lunch time with my 10-month pup Gatsby and hubby, the three of us were equally welcomed in a really warm and friendly way. Cider was cold and reasonably priced, but far and away the best part of this place is the food. Portions are really generous, and its all lovely home made proper “good-as-mums” style grub that will keep you full and warm all day. Can’t recommend enough, the staff are really lovely too!

  • Mid week tea

Third visit in as many weeks , if you fancy pub with great beer and no nonsense food . Then this is the place for you . Excellent service . Only a small dining room, but you can eat anywhere else in the fleece.
The trio of sausages on mash are literally to die for , but save some room for the puddings .

Stayed April 2016, travelled as a couple

  • One night stay at The Fleece Inn

On arrival we were greeted by the staff, and literally taken straight to our rooms, following the Manager ensuring I was parked outside ok, and not in a residents spot. Yes I was parked in a residents spot.

He gave me a pass which allowed me to park in another pub car park 100 yards away – no problems.

The room was great, clean and spacious with a huge bathroom.

The selection of beers / wines and spirits was superb,...

  • Great Ale!

The pie I ordered was really tasty and the ale great: I had several pints of them, being my last night in UK! The waitress was kind and helped me in choosing the right ale. Great pub, with a familiar feeling.

  • We Will Return!

If you are looking for a night stay-over in the lovely Haworth then look no further than the Fleece Inn. Situated at the bottom of the cobbled street the fleece inn serves up great hospitality, food and drink and is perfectly located for all that Haworth has to offer. We stayed in the Bronte suite and we were very impressed; the room consisted of an extremely comfy bed which was very difficult to leave the following morning! Freeview...
